75 Ideas for Blog Posts

As a new blogger, I decided to do some research on ideas for future blog posts. I figured I would share what the fruit of my search was. Obviously, this is also open to anyone who reads this list. If you are suffering from bloggers block, maybe this lost will help you out.

  1. Book reviews (but that’s obvious)
  2. Cover reveal
  3. Book haul (books you purchased or library books)
  4. DNF (Books you didn’t finish)
  5. Books on your TBR (This would be sooo long. Or a series of sorts…)
  6. Books about to be released
  7. Links to bookish things you’ve found online that your readers might find interesting
  8. Books you’re looking forward to reading in general or during a certain season, holiday, etc.
  9. Your response/thoughts to a bookish topic that’s in the news
  10. Books you put on hold at the library
  11. Memes and features (e.g. Top Ten Tuesday, Booking Through Thursday, Waiting on Wednesday, Friday Finds, etc.)
  12. Pictures of beautiful books or book covers you love
  13. A bookshelf tour
  14. An author interview 
  15. Reading events (e.g. readalong or readathon)
  16. Kindle eBooks that are free on Amazon
  17. Book-related pictures: take your own, use Photoshop to modify one, etc.
  18. A bookish DIY project (e.g. making bookshelves, organizing your bookcase, repairing an old book, etc.)
  19. Recommendations: if you liked this, you might also like…
  20. Gather information from your readers (do a survey or poll, find out what they’re reading, ask for feedback on your site, let your readers vote on a book for you to read)
  21. A tour of your local library
  22. A tour of your local bookstore
  23. Your favorite places to read
  24. Pictures of actors or actresses you imagine as your favorite characters
  25. An open letter to someone: an author, a book character, an actor about to portray a book character, etc.
  26. Your favorite quotes from books (The list I would compile! Definitely plan on doing this in the future.)
  27. Your favorite quotes about books and/or reading
  28. Explain your rating system
  29. A list of blogs similar to your that others might like (I know I appreciate these)
  30. Your favorite books and why you like them
  31. Authors you’d like to meet (But I’m so awkward…)
  32. Books you wish had a sequel
  33. A list of post ideas to help other bloggers 
  34. Tips for staying organized while blogging
  35. Things that inspire you to read
  36. Things that remind you of a favorite book
  37. Songs that make you think about a certain book, character, series, etc.
  38. Tell about a book you couldn’t wait to read but ended up disappointing you
  39. List your favorite authors who are on Twitter or other social media
  40. Create your own reading challenge
  41. Review the film (or TV series) adaptation of a book you’ve read (I’m such a critic when it comes to movie adaptations) 
  42. Share some highlights from a recent book you read
  43. Your earliest memories of reading
  44. Create a video post
  45. Cook a dish or meal that you read about in a book
  46. Share your bookmark collection
  47. Link to your reading wishlist
  48. Try to dress like your favorite book cover
  49. Recommend some great bookish gifts for readers, librarians, etc.
